About the Expedition
Antarctica – the planet’s last wild frontier

At the end of 2025, we, Jūlija and Zigmārs Zandersons, will embark on a unique sailing expedition to Antarctica.
- Trip duration: ~3 weeks
- Route: Argentina → Beagle Channel → Drake Passage (the world’s roughest waters) → Antarctic islands and research stations
- Goal: to experience, document, and share the beauty and fragility of Antarctica in the era of climate change.
- Special: we are sailing on a yacht, the most eco-friendly way with minimal environmental impact.
Our expedition is a journey to the most remote and pristine continent on Earth — Antarctica. While trips to this continent are no longer rare, only a few have the privilege to set foot on land, experience this environment firsthand, and document its unique nature.
Expedition Goal
- To discover and showcase the beauty and fragility of Antarctica, which is becoming increasingly vulnerable due to climate change;
- To create a story and visual testimony of this journey to share with society and raise awareness about the importance of nature conservation;
- To give everyone the opportunity to become a companion, strengthening the connection between people and the most remote corners of the world.
Expedition Vision
We believe that real adventures begin where the comfort zone ends. We want to be a bridge between this inaccessible world and those who stay at home by bringing back visual and emotional evidence that will make you feel the cold wind and hear the sound of the waves.

Why by sailing yacht?
Most people reach Antarctica by cruise ships, but we chose the wind.
Sailing means:
- Smaller ecological footprint and respect for nature.
- A closer experience – the feeling of being one with the ocean.
- Access to places where large ships will never go.
What makes this expedition special?
- Landing on shore — a privilege granted to only a few travelers.
- Documentation — we will capture Antarctica’s landscapes, wildlife, and the journey itself to create a true sense of presence for those who stay at home.
- Collection — anyone can become part of the expedition by purchasing a T-shirt and receiving a postcard from Antarctica itself.
What we will bring back
We will return not only with photos and videos but also with stories about human strength, the power of nature, and how even the smallest actions can matter for the future of our planet.
